• Jeremy Houghton art exhibition at The Wood Norton to benefit St Richard’s Hospice

The Wood Norton is set to host its annual Spring Charity Art Exhibition on Thursday 8 May. This year, the event will proudly support St Richard’s Hospice, continuing the hotel’s tradition of community engagement, and The Wood Norton is delighted to welcome renowned artist Jeremy Houghton as its featured guest.

    Impressive portfolio

Over the past two decades, Jeremy Houghton has held prestigious artist-in-residence positions for a diverse range of esteemed communities. His impressive portfolio includes residencies at Windsor Castle for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Wimbledon championships, the America’s Cup, and the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Houghton’s distinctive artistic style often employs a reduced tonal palette, a technique that serves to amplify the sense of nostalgia and the significance of the occasions he captures in his artworks.

    An evening of art appreciation

Attendees are invited to an evening of art appreciation, accompanied by complimentary fizz and canapés from 6pm onwards. A highlight of the evening will be an auction featuring three exclusive pieces by Jeremy Houghton. All proceeds generated from the auction will be directly donated to St Richard’s Hospice.

Furthermore, guests will have the opportunity to purchase any of Jeremy Houghton’s exhibited works throughout the evening. A portion of the proceeds from each sale will also be contributed to the hospice.

    Pre-register to attend

Individuals interested in pre-registering their attendance are encouraged to contact the Hotel Manager, Katie Butterworth, on katiebutterworth@thewoodnorton.com. This promises to be an inspiring evening of art and philanthropy in support of a vital local cause.
