The day begins with a special treat: A private guided tour of Kiftsgate’s breathtaking gardens, personally hosted by owner Anne Chambers. As you wander through this horticultural paradise, you’ll have the chance to forage for leaves, flowers, and foliage, hand-picking the perfect natural treasures to inspire and adorn your personal botanical cast.

Capture the details

Back on the veranda, Annabel will lead you step-by-step through the captivating process of botanical casting. You’ll learn how to prepare the clay, artfully arrange your foraged finds, create a precise mould, and finally, pour the plaster to capture every intricate detail.

Then, a lovely lunch

While your plaster cast sets, you’ll have time to relax and refuel. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at the Kiftsgate tearooms, or if you prefer, bring your own picnic to savour amidst the tranquil beauty of the gardens. The anticipation builds as you return to reveal your stunning plaster plaque – a one-of-a-kind, nature-inspired masterpiece ready to be treasured forever.
