Here at Cotswold Grey we firmly believe that a house should be as individual as those who call it home. Our aim is to help you make a design statement that is uniquely your own.

With an eye for quality we only sell products that we would be happy to buy ourselves. We’ve obsessed over every single item in the shop, examining and testing each one until we are sure that it represents the very best value for money. Every piece has to earn its place.

The Cotswolds run through our DNA like limestone in a dry stone wall. We are based on the High Street in beautiful Moreton-in-Marsh and are keen to bring you the very best that this idyllic setting has to offer.

You are assured of a warm welcome in the shop but we will be very happy to assist over the telephone if the countryside is just a little too far afield.

We strive to treat each and every one of our customers the way that we would wish to be treated ourselves and we hope that you’ll remain a familiar face after sampling a little of Cotswolds Grey.

    Cotswold Grey History

Our showroom is located in a traditional limestone building towards the north end of Moreton High Street. For over 160 years it served as the local ironmongers, a tradition that continued into the 21st Century.

Ben Jeffrey, the previous proprietor, offered everything from a single nail to a lawnmower service and the shop thrived in the heart of the community. We may not be much help tinkering with your mower these days but we still endeavour to provide a unique and tailor-made experience that is at the heart of Cotswold life. Changing times meant that when Ben’s son Simon took over he was determined to put his own stamp on the shop and provide an offering that would appealing to the local community and the thousands who choose to visit this exceptional area each year.

This focus led to the incorporation of a neighbouring property and the major renovation of the upper floors into three stunning contemporary apartments and five thousand square feet of retail space. The result is a setting that preserves the historic character of the site while embracing an exciting vision for the future.

All that was left was to decide on a name. It comes from a unique grey paint that for centuries has graced the buildings in these rolling hills. Thus, Cotswold Grey was born. Subtle, elegant and timeless, we believe that it captures our determination to offer the very best in traditional style while leading the way forward in contemporary design.
