Paul Robinson to exhibit new paintings at Brian Sinfield Gallery
Twixt Land and Sea’ is an exhibition of 30 new paintings by Paul Robinson, curated by Brian Sinfield Gallery. The exhibition will be on view from Saturday 10 February to Saturday 24 February at the gallery in Burford.
Robinson’s paintings are known for their humor and nostalgia, often capturing scenes of everyday life with an engaging narrative quality. He is an observer of people and places, and his titles often add an extra layer of meaning to his work.
Robinson was born in Penrith, Cumbria, and studied at Carlisle College of Art before moving to London. He worked as a successful illustrator for leading publications such as the Sunday Times and Radio Times. In 1999, he moved to Norfolk, where he found a new world to explore in the vast landscapes and quirky characters of the North Norfolk coast.
Robinson’s paintings often feature big skies, stormy seas, green fields, idyllic villages, and people going about their daily lives. He delights in portraying people in everyday situations with rich humor, reminiscent of the work of L.S. Lowry and Helen Bradley, but with his own distinct style.
Robinson’s work is included in private, corporate, and public collections worldwide. Twixt Land and Sea’ is a not-to-miss exhibition for fans of Robinson’s work or anyone who appreciates art that is both humorous and thought-provoking.
