For the past ten years, Stratton House Hotel & Spa has quietly established itself as one of the Cotswolds’ most welcoming country house hotels. Combining the charm of a historic property with contemporary comfort, thoughtful hospitality, and continual investment, the independently owned hotel has become a favourite destination for visitors seeking a relaxing stay just moments from the heart of Cirencester.

On 25 June, we were delighted to attend the hotel’s special 10th Anniversary Celebration, an evening that reflected not only how far the hotel has come over the past decade, but also the exciting ambitions that lie ahead.

Situated on the edge of Cirencester, Stratton House Hotel offers the best of both worlds. Guests enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of a traditional country house setting while remaining within short distance of one of the Cotswolds’ most historic market towns. The independently owned hotel features 43 individually styled bedrooms, an award-winning spa, the Garden Restaurant overlooking its beautiful private walled gardens, and the characterful Oak Bar, creating an experience that feels both elegant and relaxed.

Throughout the property, the careful balance between preserving the building’s character and providing modern comforts is evident. The 10th Anniversary Celebration was thoughtfully designed as an evening through time. Guests were invited to explore the hotel’s journey over the past decade through displays, photographs, and stories from its transformation since 2016. The celebration also highlighted the present, with live music, exceptional food and drink, and the opportunity for guests, partners, and friends of the hotel to enjoy a wonderful summer evening together in the gardens beneath the pergola.

The evening concluded with a glimpse into the future as Aidan unveiled exciting renovation plans and shared the vision that will shape the hotel’s next chapter, demonstrating that, even after ten successful years, Stratton House continues to invest in its future.
