Heath Farm Holiday Cottages are five award-winning luxury self-catering holiday cottages, each sleeping 2 – 4 adults and each lovingly converted to the highest standard from old stone farm buildings and set in 70 acres of meadow and woodland. This destination in the Cotswolds is an exquisite and tranquil base for exploring the area.
Each stone cottage on Heath Farm offer guests the ultimate in comfort, quality and cleanliness and a chance to enjoy the high standards of craftsmanship which is the hallmark of this idyllic retreat. Furniture and fittings in each individual cottage are designed, created and carved out by craftsmen local to the Cotswolds in English hardwoods, much of it from trees off the farm itself, and a local blacksmith was commissioned to create the imaginative ironwork that enhance many of the doors, windows and open fireplaces.
If you’re looking for a peaceful and tranquil retreat, Heath Farm offers the perfect setting for your short break or holiday in the Cotswolds with it’s beautiful courtyard and gardens as well as 70 acres of woodland and flower meadow at your disposal.
The farm’s courtyard has a number of gracious terraces, intimate herb borders and the most magnificent views from where you can enjoy your morning tea, glass of wine in the evening or simply relax with a book to the sound of running water and birdsong.
The family at Heath Farm are keen gardeners and in the large garden their homegrown produce of fruit and vegetables flourish. Guests are encouraged to use the produce and pick fresh herbs straight out of the borders to enhance the cooking in their cottage and for those who enjoy cooking alfresco, cast iron barbecues are provided.
The farm has a small holding of sheep, goats, chickens, geese plus the family dog Poppy. The farm animals will often be seen from your cottage window grazing and lazing in the field below the cottages or behind the bakers and farm buildings. The farm’s chickens roam free in a large enclosure in the woodlands apposite the vegetable garden. Fed on a well-balanced diet of feed and food leftovers from our house, they produce lovely golden yoked eggs far superior to your standard “free range”.
Beyond the garden and orchard is the popular Games Lawn, a terraced area with stunning views for you to relax or play to your hearts content. There’s a shed packed full of equipment for you to enjoy. Activities include, Croquet, Badminton, Volleyball , Swingball and Giant Jenga . There’s also a 14ft trampoline with enclosure, swings & slide.
Whether you enjoy nature rambles and picnics, birdwatching, relaxing in beautiful settings, cooking or just soaking up the atmosphere you will find something to enjoy without even having to leave the farm.
