John Davies Gallery presents its autumn exhibition 2025

This autumn, John Davies Gallery in Moreton-in-Marsh unveils a thoughtfully curated group exhibition featuring ten contemporary artists whose work spans the spectrum from precise realism to expressive abstraction. United by painterly skill and depth of vision, the exhibition reveals how contrast in style, subject, and sensibility can create unexpected visual harmony.
Running from 11 October to 15 November 2025, the Autumn Exhibition invites visitors to slow down and look closely. Some works captivate with a quiet, observational stillness, while others pulse with colour, texture, and movement. The interplay between the two reveals the subtle connections that emerge when diverse creative voices share the same space.

Housed in a beautifully converted former dairy, John Davies Gallery offers a calm and welcoming setting in which to experience the show. The Private View Weekend, held on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 October, will open the season in style, complete with a glass of fizz for visitors.
Rather than focusing on a single theme, the exhibition celebrates difference — each artist bringing a distinctive perspective and visual language. Yet as visitors move through the gallery’s light-filled rooms, the relationships between the works begin to unfold naturally. A delicately tonal landscape may sit beside a dynamic abstract composition; their differences do not compete but enrich one another. The curation trusts the viewer to find their own rhythm through the collection and rewards thoughtful attention at every turn.
The gallery offers free on-site parking and is just a short walk from Moreton-in-Marsh station (a pleasant stroll down the Meadow path from Platform 2). Opening hours are Wednesday to Friday, 10.30am–4.30pm, and Saturday, 10am–3pm.
