Oxleaze Barn

Oxleaze Barn is a Cotswold stone barn wedding venue that’s full of rustic charm and sits at the heart of a thriving organic Cotswold farm, and has been sympathetically restored to reflect the beauty of its surroundings in Gloucestershire.

Since the early 1700s Oxleaze has been a typical Cotswold farm – ridge and furrow in the fields, common land and a smattering of the original outbuildings. Fast forward to today and the farm has developed into an exciting project of restoration, sustainability and conservation whilst retaining the spirit and historic nostalgia the land evokes.

Oxleaze Barn was traditionally a grain store, dating back to 1702. The Barn’s towering exposed beams and Cotswold stonework disguise the addition of state of the art technology, stunning lighting and underfloor heating as well as kitchen and bathroom facilities.

The barn doors open wide onto a private courtyard and terraced lawn which is perfect for drinks and outdoor entertaining in the summer.
The barn is warm and toasty on winter evenings, heated and powered through a combination of a wood chip biomass boiler and solar panels so you can enjoy the glorious open fireplace and underfloor heating guilt free!

We only have one wedding a weekend to ensure you the time to decorate and enjoy your day without feeling rushed. The Watering Hole manage the bar exclusively and can offer a variety of drinks packages and a cash bar to suit your requirements. We have a list of recommended suppliers who we work closely with but you are not obliged to use them and can choose your own caterer.

Oxleaze Barn comprises of The Barn and The Milling Barn. The ceremony and wedding breakfast take place in the main barn. The Milling Barn will provide an area for the drinks reception in the event of bad weather and dancing later on. The spaces are linked inside with an adjoining door and outside with a small courtyard garden and entrance. The Barn opens onto a stunning landscaped courtyard and firepit, with a wide garden gate available for late night street food vans.

Evening reception – 130 –150 (if coaches are provided to limit parking spaces)

Oxleaze Cottage

We also now have a beautiful cottage on the farm available for hire – Oxleaze Cottage is located the other side of the farm yard from Oxleaze Barn. It has recently been renovated to a very high standard and sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms. Please note a 2 night minimum stay is required and bookings will be subject to availability.
