“When Elan Spa at Mallory Court first opened in 2017, I had been looking forward to visiting for a spa day for some time, as I was sure this brand new spa in Warwickshire would be something quite special. And when ‘some time’ finally came in September 2017, it became apparent within the very first 20 minutes that “quite special” would be the understatement of the year”.

A perfect pamper day

A spa day is the perfect place to spend time with good friends, and I had invited my good friend, Jane. The prospect of a day of pampering, lovely conversations interrupted by coffees, treatments, champagne, treats, good food and pure relaxation was one we were both very excited about. And we were not disappointed, in fact the exact opposite, as we were just about to have our expectations well and truly surpassed.

 

 

Slippers and fluffy robes

We were met by the lovely staff who served us a healthy drink, showed us the menu for both lunch and treatments and we chose our favourites from both. We were then shown the facilities, given robes and slippers and sent on our way into the spacious and well-equipped changing room where we got into proper luxury-spa attire, bathing suits, slippers and fluffy robes.

Dressed to relax

Dressed to relax, we started our day of luxury and pampering outside in the outdoor heated vitality pool. Immersed in bubbles and overlooking the terrace and the lovely garden, this was pure relaxation and set us up for the day in the best way possible.

 

Outdoor pool and sauna

From the heat of the bubbles and the cool of the air outside, we then checked out the sauna. Located in a little house outside next to the pool, we spent 5-10 minutes here and then went back to the vitality pool for a while, and then it was time for our treatments.

 

 

Fabulous spa treatments

We both had the Gold Cellular Age Restore Face Therapy treatments, an ILA product facial treatment that includes a back massage. ILA’s luxurious collection of natural products are used in the treatments at Elan Spa at Mallory Court, products in which three types of naturally occurring gold and the rarest of frankincense are used, and when used in conjunction with ILA’s suggested therapies, will leave your skin and whole body reprogrammed and rejuvenated.

Low calorie lunch and bubbles

Following our treatments, we couldn’t have been more relaxed. There was a bit of time for a dip and a swim in the indoor pool, but then it was time for a healthy lunch accompanied by… wait for it… Skinny Champagne! Yes, people, it’s really real and it tastes… exactly like normal Champagne, it just has half the calories.

Lunch was a real treat. From the healthy salad bar to start, to our delicious mains of halloumi and duck and finishing with a ‘to-die-for’ chocolate dessert, we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.

 

 

Here comes the sun

With happy tummies, we noticed the sun had decided to make an appearance on this otherwise grey and cool September day, so we decided to enjoy our after-lunch coffees on the sunlit terrace. We decided to go for one last dip in the vitality pool and then finish our fantastic spa day at Mallory Court in the indoor pool with the super-fun high powered water-jets. I don’t know quite how we managed to drag ourselves out of the pool to leave the spa. But we did and a truly wonderful spa experience had come to an end.

The very best of spas

The spa at Mallory Court is magnificent. Luxurious, beautiful, full of wonderful details and little touches that firmly place it among the very best spas out there. Service is second to none, the culinary offering is excellent and I am already looking forward to going back.
