• Stroud Farmers Market ∙ a fantastic market in the Cotswolds

We’ve been to Stroud Farmers Market a couple of times… it’s fantastic! Known for its brilliant vibe and huge variety of local produce and artisan goods, it’s one to put on your ‘must-visit-list’ when you’re in the Cotswolds for sure.

The most fabulously down-to-earth in the Cotswolds

We visited last in May 2024 (all the pictures here are from that visit) on a warm and sunny day. The market was bustling with activity when we arrived, and we were immediately drawn in by the vibrant colours, the lovely smells, and the laid-back atmosphere. There’s no pretentiousness in Stroud, at the Farmers Market or anywhere, and therein lies the charm of the place. It’s the most fabulously down-to-earth town in all of the Cotswolds and we love that!

    True sense of community

We spent a good few hours wandering through the stalls, ohh’ing and ahh’ing over the fresh fruits and veg, sampling delicious baked goods and local drinks, and browsing through the handmade crafts.

There’s a true sense of community at this market in the Cotswolds. The stallholders are friendly and passionate about their products, and all happy to chat with us about their farms or businesses.

    A basket full of goodies

We left the market with a basket full of delicious food and a renewed appreciation for the importance of supporting local farmers and businesses. We can’t recommend a visit to Stroud Farmers Market enough… for anyone looking for a unique and rewarding market experience and amazing locally grown produce, this is the perfect place.
