Halloween Afternoon Tea at The Lygon Arms

“Today was your typical cold and wet October Sunday so the kids and I did the only thing that made sense, really… we went for Halloween Afternoon Tea at The Lygon Arms in Broadway”.

    ~ Mette, Cotswolds Concierge.

As always when we visit The Lygon Arms, we were welcomed warmly by the team and shown to the lounge where afternoon teas are served. We’ve tried a fair few of their afternoon teas, both their luxurious seasonal ones and those themed and created mostly for kids, and the common denominator is always pure deliciousness on the traditional afternoon tea tower of delights. Today was no different.

    A Spooky Afternoon Tea

The Halloween Afternoon Tea we enjoyed today was a base of three lovely sandwiches (one ham, one cheese and one blood….. might have been jam). The middle was a traditional fruit scone, as always it was just the right temperature, texture and taste, not too crumbly, just right. And the top of the tower was a frightful delight of a fruit cocktail in a Jack-o’-lantern, a spiderweb cupcake, an eyeball marshmallow and a spooky ghost shortbread. Delicious and so much fun!
