So lucky were we to have Valentine’s Day come early, as we were invited to try out the super romantic ‘Valentine’s Spa Day’ at The Lygon Arms.

We arrived at midday and were greeted warmly at the wonderful spa at The Lygon Arms in Broadway. The ‘Valentine’s Spa Day’ promised us that we would “fall in love with The Lygon” and we most definitely did… here’s why:

 

 

A day of utter indulgence

Included in the ‘Valentine’s Spa Day’ are personalised 45-minute back treatments for two, full use of spa facilities and the gym, a light Lunch in the Spa Kitchen & Bar, refreshments and an OSKIA Rose De Mai Massage Candle… in short: a day of utter indulgence!

Our back massages were first on the agenda on this day of luxurious pampering, and we were shown to a lovely couples treatment room prepared for a double massage experience. The scene was set for the most relaxing and wonderful 45-minute massage, and that was exactly what we got. Both massage therapists did a phenomenal job making us feel at ease and their technique was spot on, with deep pressure but soft hands and a gentle touch. We both felt completely relaxed and peaceful at the end of the 45 minutes (which felt like just 15, by the way, we could have both happily stayed another hour or two!), we practically floated out.

 

 

A light lunch and a glass of fizz

Completely calm following our massages, it was time for the lunch part of this romantic spa day. Included in the spa package was a light lunch in the Spa Kitchen & Bar, a really lovely space where we could comfortably sit in our spa robes and enjoy a nice lunch and a glass of fizz.

 

Hot Tub Fun and a Snooze

From the perfect relaxing lunch for two, to the perfect relaxing hot tub experience. We went downstairs to the pool area and immediately submerged ourselves in the super-hot bubbles of the hot tub… there’s just nothing quite like a hot tub and we spent a good half an hour just chatting and enjoying the moment. But there’s only so much hot water one can take, so from the hot bubbles to the cooler water in the lovely pool. Perfection. Then a relaxing snooze on the loungers… ahhhh. We couldn’t have been more relaxed when it was time to move on with our romantic day in Broadway.

A BREWING ROMANCE – 14TH TO 17TH FEBRUARY 2018

In love with afternoon tea and want to treat that special someone to something delicious? Then the Valentine’s afternoon tea is the perfect choice. Enjoy a classic Valentine’s afternoon tea at £25pp or why not make it extra special with a glass of Veuve Clicquot Rich Rose served from a beautiful glass tea pot priced at £40pp.

The perfect romantic day and stay in the Cotswolds

While an overnight stay is not included in the Valentine’s Day spa package, we were definitely not ready for this romantic day in Broadway to end, so we opted to stay over, enjoy beautiful Broadway and have a lovely dinner at The Lygon on this early Valentine’s Day treat of ours. We stayed in one of their beautiful courtyard suites and dined in The Lygon Wine Bar. From the relaxing spa day, a stroll in Broadway and drinks at the hotel to the luxurious suite and the most wonderful dinner, The Lygon was quite simply the perfect setting for a romantic day in the Cotswolds.
