This fine-looking Cotswold-stone Inn is perfectly positioned to make the most of the stunning views over the Evenlode valley and its far reaching nature reserve.
Transformed into a dining destination of some repute over the past decade, the decor and furnishings have been finished to an incredibly high standard – with no compromises.
Boasting 2 dining rooms, a snug area with an open fireplace and unrivalled patio and beer garden, The Feathered Nest Inn is a perfect setting for all occasions; lunch, dinner, drinks and Afternoon Tea or to host a private event, a product launch, or with its very own wedding licence to celebrate that special day.
Nest ‘Food’
Michelin-starred Chef Matt Weedon is intent on delivering a unique dining experience with a passion for the local produce. The Food is built around locally sourced, seasonal produce plus fish from the West Country – all supplemented by home-baked breads and home grown herbs and vegetables.
The Feathered Nest Inn offers a modern A la Carte British cuisine, seasonal 6 course Tasting Menu and a more relaxed bar and garden offering. The seasonal A la carte’s modern take on classic combinations includes soft Shell Crab, Orkney Scallops with pork cheek, Cotswolds Venison with braised red cabbage or Roasted Halibut with langoustine raviolo; Tarte Tatin of Pear with pear sorbet and caramel sauce. Afternoon tea and Sunday lunch are also served.
Nest ‘Pint’
The classic, dog friendly bar is a picture with its stone floors, log-burning fire, cosy alcoves and ‘leather saddle’ bar stools. Otherwise, enjoy the lawned gardens with an array of sculptures from Elliott of London, and stone terrace before heading to the dining rooms for a delicious dinner.
Real ale buffs can home in on a pint of locally brewed Hooky from Hook Norton or Sap Sucker – brewed especially for the inn. Also check out the Cornish Cider and imported Lindeboom. The Inn also boasts an epic wine list with a strong selection available by the glass in the bar.
Nest ‘Pillow’
The four uniquely designed en suite rooms, decorated and attractively fitted out with sumptuous large beds, crisp linen, natural fawn carpets, colourful scatter cushions, luxurious throws and upholstered easy chairs, plus a few pieces of antique furniture. Some rooms also enjoy wonderful views over the Evenlode valley.
Creature comforts include Nespresso machines, Smart TVs, fresh fruit and homemade biscuits, and a retro radio. The bathrooms are equally luxurious with roll-top baths, walk-in showers, Bramley soaps and lotions, fluffy bathrobes, natural stone floors and white tiles.
