A Wonderful Afternoon Tea at The Lygon Arms
With only days left of our #SummerOf16, we decided to end our amazing staycation in the Cotswolds in style with Afternoon Tea at The Lygon Arms in lovely Broadway.
The Lygon Arms is practically an institution in this popular Cotswold town, an iconic landmark steeped in history and stories, one that is worth a visit whenever you’re in the area.
Above-and-beyond service
With a warm welcome and above-and-beyond service from start to finish, we had the most wonderful afternoon tea at The Lygon Arms. The children had their own tower of afternoon tea delights, with little touches added just for them, like ice cream, child-friendly cakes, hot chocolate with marshmallows and an unbelievably divine Eton Mess… how do I know this was divine, you ask? Okay, I admit it, I was all over their tower as well as the one that was really meant for me… I’m not sorry, it was SO GOOD!
September Afternoon Tea at The Lygon Arms
What we had was the ‘September Afternoon Tea’ (you know we now have to go back to try all the other months!), a selection of delicious sandwiches, delicious scones with clotted cream and sweets like blackberry and thyme panna cotta, a rosemary and hazelnut financier and much more.
Afternoon tea at The Lygon Arms was a cosy, culinary experience and what a wonderful way to finish our summer holiday in the Cotswolds in style.
