Roots + Seeds at Far Peak
Roots + Seeds has officially opened its third sustainable dining hub at Far Peak, bringing its much-loved combination of relaxed dining, seasonal produce, and stylish countryside atmosphere to a beautiful rural setting near Northleach in the Cotswolds.
Open daily and warmly welcoming both people and their dogs, the new venue offers everything from speciality coffee and homemade bakes to hearty breakfasts, brunches, lunches and afternoon teas, all available to enjoy in-house or as Grab & Go.

∙ A NEW TAPROOM EXPERIENCE ∙ Far more than simply a café, the new Roots + Seeds location also introduces a dedicated Taproom experience, serving the full range of locally brewed Hawkstone beers and ciders on tap. Guests can enjoy everything from Premium and Session lagers to IPA, Spa Lager and Hawkstone’s cider range, all within the relaxed surroundings of the converted barn setting.
Alongside the beers, co-founder Sam Lawson King has developed a cocktail offering featuring both classic serves and seasonal creations using Roots + Seeds’ own London Dry Gin, combined with homemade shrubs, cordials and locally foraged ingredients. English wines selected by local specialists Talking Wines complete the drinks offering.

∙ SEASONAL MENUS WITH LOCAL PRODUCE ∙ The kitchen is overseen by Head Chef Russell Brookman, whose menus focus on modern British dishes with European influences and a strong emphasis on seasonal produce from trusted local suppliers. Breakfast and brunch offerings range from comforting porridge with rhubarb and orange compote to elevated classics including Full English breakfasts and Eggs Hollandaise.
Lunch and dinner menus include everything from next-level burgers and vegetable curry to fish and chips, alongside regularly changing ‘Field to Fork’ specials inspired by the best available seasonal ingredients. Vegetarian dishes feature throughout the menu and dietary requirements are carefully catered for.
Much of the produce comes from respected local suppliers including Jesse Smith Family Butchers, the Bathurst Estate near Cirencester and fresh fish delivered daily from Brixham. Seasonal fruit and vegetables are also grown within Roots + Seeds’ own kitchen garden at its original Old Kennels site in Cirencester.

∙ A DESTINATION FOR FOOD, WELLNESS AND ADVENTURE ∙ The Far Peak setting adds another dimension to the experience. Already well known as a Cotswolds adventure and wellness retreat, Far Peak combines outdoor activities, fitness and wellbeing within a beautiful 25-acre countryside estate. Visitors can enjoy climbing, bike trails, padel tennis, bushcraft activities and low ropes courses alongside wellness facilities including yoga, Reformer Pilates, personal training, reflexology, chiropractic treatments, a Finnish barrel sauna and ice baths.
Accommodation ranges from camping and glamping to shepherd’s huts, domes and tipis, creating a destination that feels equally suited to day visitors, weekend escapes and longer countryside stays.
∙ RELAXED COUNTRYSIDE STYLE ∙ Inside, Roots + Seeds Far Peak embraces a stylish rural-industrial aesthetic, with soaring ceilings, exposed steel beams, huge skylights and floor-to-ceiling windows filling the former barn with natural light. Birch-clad walls, houseplants, rustic lighting and copper velvet sofas help create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, while families are also catered for with a dedicated indoor play area for children.
Outside, a covered terrace provides the perfect setting for coffee, drinks and relaxed gatherings overlooking the surrounding countryside.
∙ A NATURAL NEXT STEP ∙ Roots + Seeds co-founder Toby Baggott describes Far Peak as the perfect next step for the growing brand, combining exceptional food and drink with adventure, wellness and relaxed Cotswolds hospitality. Following the success of the original Cirencester site, the Gloucester Food Dock location, and sister pizzeria Cattivo, the Far Peak opening further strengthens Roots + Seeds’ reputation as one of the region’s most exciting independent hospitality businesses.
