Fabulous Adventures on the Farncombe Estate
With 500 acres of rolling Cotswold countryside to play with, the Farncombe Estate is about much more than simply sitting back and admiring the view. From electric quad bikes and axe throwing to falconry, archery, and yoga, there are plenty of ways to add a little adventure to a stay.
Available throughout May to August, Farncombe’s Summer Adventures programme makes the most of the estate’s beautiful setting, with activities running throughout the week for guests looking to try something new, get outdoors, or simply slow things down.

∙ ADVENTURE ACROSS 500 ACRES ∙
There can’t be many better places to try your hand at a new outdoor activity than in the middle of the Cotswolds.
For something with a little adrenaline, head out across the estate on one of Farncombe’s whisper-quiet electric quad bikes. Tours wind their way through rolling parkland, woodland tracks, and some of the estate’s hidden corners, offering a rather different way to explore Farncombe’s 500 acres.
You can also channel your inner lumberjack with an axe-throwing session, test your concentration and precision with archery, or head to the outdoor rifle range, where those rather lovely Cotswold views provide the backdrop.

∙ MEET THE BIRDS OF PREY ∙
At weekends, there’s another rather special experience to enjoy, with falconry sessions giving guests the chance to get up close to some magnificent birds of prey.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the birds, see them at close quarters, and experience something you probably don’t get to do on an average weekend away.
∙ SOMETHING A LITTLE CALMER ∙
Of course, summer adventures don’t have to involve throwing axes or climbing aboard a quad bike.
Daily yoga classes take place in Cameo Studio, Farncombe’s bright and peaceful wellbeing space. Led by experienced local teachers, the hour-long sessions are designed to help guests move, unwind, and leave feeling refreshed and restored.
Classes take place at 9.30am and 6pm Monday to Friday, with a 9am class at weekends, and cost £15 per person.
∙ SOMETHING DIFFERENT EVERY DAY ∙
Farncombe has put together a full programme of activities, making it easy to build a little adventure into your stay.
From Monday to Friday, guests can choose from morning yoga, archery at 10am, an electric quad bike tour at 11am, axe throwing at midday, the rifle range at 2.30pm, and evening yoga at 6pm.
At weekends, the programme includes yoga at 9am, archery at 10am, electric quad biking and falconry at 11am, axe throwing at midday, and the rifle range at 2.30pm.
Whether you fancy trying something completely new, turning it into a little friendly competition, or simply making the most of being surrounded by acres of beautiful countryside, there’s plenty to fill a summer day.

∙ MAKE A SUMMER OF IT ∙
One of the loveliest things about Farncombe Estate is just how much there is to discover without ever needing to leave.
With three distinctive hotels across the estate, including Dormy House, The Fish, and Foxhill Manor, guests can combine long summer days outdoors with wonderful food, beautiful rooms, spa time, and plenty of opportunities to simply relax.
So, perhaps start the morning with yoga, spend the day mastering archery or exploring the estate by electric quad bike, and finish with dinner and a drink as the sun goes down over the Cotswold hills.
Summer adventures at Farncombe are available from May to August, with activities bookable individually throughout your stay.
