Created by renowned LEGO® artist Warren Elsmore, the exhibition features an extraordinary collection of historical scenes and figures recreated entirely from LEGO® bricks. From Mozart and Martin Luther King to the moon landings and the discovery of DNA, Brick History explores the people, inventions and events that shaped the world in a way that is engaging for both children and adults alike.

∙ FIVE THEMES OF DISCOVERY ∙ As visitors explore the historic rooms and spaces of Berkeley Castle, the exhibition unfolds across five distinct themes. The Arts celebrates human creativity, from prehistoric cave paintings to modern pop art, while Conflict explores moments of upheaval ranging from Pompeii to Viking invasions and political protest. Equality brings important social struggles into focus, including the stories of slavery and the suffragette movement. Exploration looks at discoveries and innovations that transformed society, while Transport charts the evolution of travel from ships and railways through to flight.

The result is an exhibition that feels educational, interactive and playful all at once, offering families a fresh and accessible way to engage with history.

∙ A PERFECT SETTING FOR THE PAST ∙ Few venues could feel more fitting for an exhibition about history than Berkeley Castle itself. Steeped in centuries of stories, intrigue and historical significance, the castle provides a dramatic and atmospheric backdrop for the exhibition, connecting LEGO® interpretations of world events with a location that has witnessed important moments of British history first-hand.
