Festive afternoon tea ∙ A sweet experience at The Slaughters Country Inn
The Slaughters Country Inn in the picture-perfect Cotswold village of Lower Slaughter, is a charming space, inside and out. We recently enjoyed a festive afternoon tea here, and it was the perfect way to get into the festive spirit.
Our table, which was right next to the roaring fireplace, was the perfect setting for a cosy and festive afternoon. The warmth and the gentle crackling of the fire, created a truly inviting atmosphere.
Traditional, sweet, and festive
The afternoon tea was lovely, and traditional, and incredibly festive, as it arrived at the table on three tiers. The bottom tier was filled with finger sandwiches with a variety of great flavours and fillings. The middle tier was freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, they were perfect and incredibly delicious. But as it always is, it was the top tier of festive sweet treats that truly stole the show, as each bite was a burst of deliciousness.
