A wonderful treat at Arden House
This year for Mother’s Day, I was treated to some quality time by my two wonderful kids, Matthew & Noelle. Arden House in Stratford-upon-Avon was the luxurious and homely setting for our celebration, little sister to the Eden Hotel Collection‘s The Arden Hotel and the newest, cosiest and loveliest boutique hotel in the hometown of William Shakespeare, just a few short miles from the Cotswolds to the north.
Every wish catered for
A warm welcome was offered when we arrived at Arden House and throughout our time there we were made to feel special and our every wish was catered for. The rooms and the living areas at the hotel are beautifully decorated with so many little touches throughout. Coffee, tea and snacks are available at all times and 5 o’clock at Arden House is “gin o’clock” (well, Chin Chin, we say) and the breakfast is quite simply mouthwatering and outstanding.
Scrumptious afternoon tea
As an extra special Mother’s Day treat, we sat down for a scrumptious and delicious afternoon tea at Arden House. Well, I could write an entire chapter on the carrot cake alone (Mmm, mmm, yum!), but I won’t, of course. The whole set-up was a really lovely treat and a special time spent with my kids on Mother’s Day. Every single part of the afternoon tea was well made, incredibly tasty and just so right.
I hope this is the start of a Mother’s Day tradition, because I would just love to go back again for Mother’s Day next year, and for my birthday, maybe for Christmas and there’s always… Tuesday!
